Catching up again

I've been really slack this past week! Apologies to my regular visitors, I promise to get my act into gear ;) Now onto the photos.....

Skyscape - 20/02/2011

This was taken after a few days of yucky weather. It was wonderful to see the sun shining again.

Plucked - 21/02/2011

Yet again my little guy has been retrieving the unfurling rose buds just for me. I currently have three in what's become known as the rose dish lol

Blankie and The Kid - 22/02/2011

My grandmother made this blanket for me before I was born. Jack now adores it. He cuddles up on my lap every night with it wrapped around him. It warms my heart to seem him snuggle up in it.

Angel of Mine - 23/02/2011

Can you see it? The angel in the clouds? I didn't notice it when I took the photo but while I was reviewing the shots from the beach on my laptop.

The Gift - 13/02/2011

I've been watching my rose bush for the last few days. It's had a single tiny bud that was starting to bloom. Notice I said had? On Sunday my littlest guy proudly presented with the tiny rose bud saying "Dis for you Mummy". *Melt* The poor little rose bud had a 2 mm but I managed to salvage it by sitting it on some paper towel in a little pinch dish with a smidgen on water. By late afternoon it had really opened up.
Beautiful.

Pods - 09/02/2011

The flowers on the aggies are starting to dry out and hiding beneath the papery remnants are these glorious pods filled with the hope of new agapanthus.

Catching up again

The weather has been absolutely stunning the last few days. We've spent the early evenings outside, leaving dinner until later, it's been just wonderful. I've captured some great photos, two of which are below.

rain drops on roses

Yes more roses, but aren't they just gorgeous?

I think they are :)

icebergs ahead

The first bloom on our iceberg rose bush.
The plant is absolutely covered with buds, I can't wait to see it in full bloom.
I used the macro mode on my camera when taking this shot.
A little bit of editing (cropping and slightly sharpened) and I'm really happy with the final result.
I think it would look fantastic as a canvas.
What do you think?
