shadow shot sunday

I've spent most of the last week sorting through boxes in our garage. On Friday the boys and I got a little distracted by the sunshine. The fence that's casting this shadow has but a few millimeters separating the palings, but the shadow would have your think otherwise. I thought it looked so pretty.

that's what we need so we don't have to take Vitamin D pills everyday. Oh sunshine, I miss her.

Hi Emma, these flowers also remind me of summer, love the white ones we don't see as many of those here in Sydney. Have a good week x

Oh gosh what a pretty yard you have! I can't see any weeds in your lawn. I'm very envious!

Thanks so much for the grasshopper tip. Unfortunately I've tried mixing up those sorts of concoctions and they don't work on my grasshoppers. They've worked on them in previous places I've lived but not the ones that reside here. These are big beasties that seem to survive everything I throw at them. I'll beat them eventually :)

Have a great week Emma!

IF SHADOWS COULD TALK

If shadows could talk,
Just what would they say?
If you listen close,
You’ll hear them, you may.
Shadows do chatter
And gossip and talk
In the store windows,
Along the sidewalk,
Over the mountains,
On prairie and plain,
Begging for sunshine
And not days of rain;
Emboldened by light,
The stark shadows say:
“We’re out for a lark,
Please join us at play!”
