I usually only participate in Maxabella Loves' blog hop with my other blog, but I thought I'd take Charmaine's lead and let all my readers, regular and sporadic, that I am very grateful for you! I'm grateful for the lovely comments, the words of encouragement and the comradery that I've experienced since starting this blog. My grandmother made this blanket for me before I was born. Jack now adores it. He cuddles up on my lap every night with it wrapped around him. It warms my heart to seem him snuggle up in it.

In the shadows

I have been looking forward to posting these shadow shots up today. They were taken earlier this week on a trip to the beach. The sky was such a beautiful blue and the way the clouds were dancing in the sky, it was as if they were following the sun as it disappeared below the horizon. It really was magical.

The boy had fun in the shadows too :)

Last month when we visited our beach at high tide, I took the opportunity to take a few shots of the little old abandoned shack across the road. I'd love to know the story behind it.

Yesterday we visited the beach again. It was high tide which forced me to look for different inspiration. This is what my muse had for me yesterday.

I found a gorgeous little old beach shack tonight on the way home. Next time we visit the beach, I'll be sure to stop and get a shot. I've been noticing lots of new photo ops lately, but I never seem to remember to put my camera in the car. Perhaps I should hang it where my keys are?

Check out the size of these birds! They are Pacific Gulls, absolutely huge compared to the ordinary seagulls on the right.

I love the patterns in the water in this shot.
